Teams come here when something important needs to be developed.
A strategy needs building.
A problem needs solving.
A leadership team needs aligning.
An organisation needs to decide what comes next.
The Barn combines a retreat environment with strategic workshop facilitation through Design Farm Collective. Bespoke retreats are designed around each organisation and what they need to achieve while they are here.
People step away from the office, emails and day-to-day decisions, to instead spend time working on the bigger picture, together. The Barn environment helps people think differently, have better conversations and make clear, intentional decisions.
Retreats can run for an evening, a day, or over several days with multiple accommodation options on site. Most groups include a mix of strategy sessions, workshops, shared meals, walks and time away from the table where conversations continue to blossom.
Our retreats follow a simple structure.
Sow — Explore ideas, challenges and opportunities.
Cultivate — Work through strategy, test ideas and build plans.
Harvest — Make decisions, align the team and set direction.
While each retreat is different, the founding idea is simple.

People often arrive feeling busy, distracted or stuck.
They usually leave with clarity, direction and a plan.
Good ideas need space.
Good decisions need time.
Both are easier to find here.
